Who we are

CyclingRanking.com is created by three cycling enthousiasts, just as a hobby, which has gotten a bit out of control. The three of us are also family. Peter van Uijtregt, the father, has been interested in cycling for many years and started creating a ranking about the best cyclists of the world, already in the 1970s. His two sons, Stephan and Arnim van Uijtregt, of course also have been infected with this same cycling bug in their infant years.

Over the years Stephan and Arnim have grown up. Stephan has become an expert in sports marketing, and Arnim has become a software engineer. This expertise led to the possibility to create a proper website for these cycling rankings the father created and CyclingRanking.com was born.

As said before, we do all of this work for a hobby and we feel that these rankings should be publicly available, in a format that is very accessible. We do not want to restrict any information, and do not require the users of our site to register or anything. Basically that is because we have no business knowing any details about our visitors. Also it would distract us from the focus we need on the website itself. We do not want to be responsible for securing everybody's privacy sensitive information. So instead of sending out newsletters, we invite you to just frequently visit our site and optionally follow us on Twitter, where we frequently provide updates with interesting information. Links to this account can be found in the menu.
