Remarks
The stage was originally planned to continue to Moena (198 km), but due to a blizzard and extreme cold it was shortened with the finish on the Passo Rolle. It was a massacre; no less than 55 riders abandoned the race, and race leader Armand DESMET arrived at 18 minutes and lost the pink jersey.
